Document legalization in the UAE runs through several distinct channels depending on the document and its destination - a private notary for POAs and corporate documents, an embassy or consulate for foreign certificates, and MOJ-licensed translators where a certified translation is required. This does not include Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) attestation.

What is the difference between a private notary and MOFA attestation?
A private notary in Dubai handles notarization of documents such as powers of attorney, resolutions and contracts, under Dubai Courts' supervisory framework. Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) attestation is a separate federal process for authenticating documents for use abroad, and is not a service MBM provides - contact MOFA directly for that process.
How long does embassy legalization usually take?
Turnaround depends entirely on the specific embassy or consulate, not on MBM - it can range from same-day to several business days depending on the country and document type. MBM confirms the realistic timeline for your specific embassy before you commit.
Do I need a certified translation before notarization or legalization?
If your document is not in Arabic, it often needs to be. MBM coordinates MOJ-licensed legal translation before a notary appointment or embassy submission, since a generic or uncertified translation is frequently rejected.
I'm not sure which service I need - can MBM still help?

Does MBM notarize documents directly, or refer me elsewhere?
MBM handles private notary matters directly, through Dubai's licensed private notary framework. Embassy legalization and MOJ-certified translation are coordinated on your behalf with the relevant embassy or licensed translator.
Can you handle urgent, same-day requests?
Often, yes, for private notary matters - same-day execution is common once a document is correctly prepared. Embassy legalization timelines depend on the embassy itself and are confirmed upfront rather than assumed.
How much does notary or legalization work cost in Dubai?
The initial consultation with MBM is free. Cost thereafter depends on the document, the channel involved, and whether translation or doorstep service is required. MBM provides a scope and fee position before you instruct.
